Softball Game Recap: Bell Bulldogs vs. Dixie County Bears

The third road match was the charm for Bell, as they earned their first road win of the season. They never let the Dixie County Bears get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mayzie Carpenter was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lizzie Bagby also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bell hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Dixie County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Bell will look to defend their home field on Friday against Branford at 7:00 p.m. Bell will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Dixie County, they will head out on the road to face off against Bronson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie County has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
