Softball Recap: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Saddleback Roadrunners
Magnolia won the last time they faced Saddleback and things went their way on Wednesday too. Magnolia put the hurt on Saddleback with a sharp 34-19 win. Considering the Sentinels' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Sophia Corrales was a standout: she scored five runs and stole six bases while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances. She also got three hits, marking her first of the season. Darlene Phaxayaseng was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
