Softball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-4 in the process. They lost 8-1 to the Webber Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Fighting Irish have suffered against the Tigers since April 26, 2018.

As for Webber, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Webber's part, the team relied heavily on Addison Dillenbeck, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Dillenbeck has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexa Robinson, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Notre Dame has already played their next game (against Kendall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Webber, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Royalton-Hartland on the 14th.
