Basketball Recap: Dove Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against La Veta on Thursday, Dove Creek came back down to earth. The Bulldogs had to suffer through a 61-25 loss at the hands of the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Dove Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sangre de Cristo, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Dove Creek will challenge Ouray at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sangre de Cristo, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nucla at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday.
