Recap: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Springfield Blue Devils
The Napoleon Wildcats's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They strolled past Springfield with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. For Napoleon, this counts as revenge for the 42-18 defeat Springfield walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Napoleon was led to victory by Chloe Cicero and Makayla Kruse. Cicero scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Kruse scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lylah Huddle, who scored four points along with two steals.
Napoleon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Napoleon's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Clay at 7:15 p.m. on February 12th. Clay is coming into the contest with three straight losses on the road, meaning Napoleon will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Springfield, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Southview at 7:00 p.m. Springfield is facing Southview at the right time seeing as Southview is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
