For the first time this season, Fremont will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After both having extra time off, they and the Farmington Phoenix will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Fremont barely beat Mountain Crest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Silverwolves blew past the Mustangs 14-4 last Thursday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Silverwolves as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
 Adee Johnsen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits. Johnsen was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI.

 In other batting news,  Cara Henrie was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Jessica Broadbent, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and five  RBI.
 Fremont  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. They are 2-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Farmington faced Pleasant Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Phoenix walked away with  a   9-4  win over the Vikings. The  victory was familiar territory for the Phoenix, who have now won five  matches in a row.
 Farmington got a  massive  performance out of  Ruby Andrus, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Morgan Rogers, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 Farmington pushed their record up to 6-3 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.
Tuesday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fremont hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Farmington struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .408. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Fremont came out on top in a nail-biter against Farmington in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024, sneaking past  7-6. Will the Silverwolves repeat their success,  or do  the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
