Basketball Recap: The Burlington School Skates Past Carolina Friends with Ease

The matchup between The Burlington School and Carolina Friends on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Burlington School Spartans really took it to the Carolina Friends Quakers for the full four quarters, racking up a 97-46 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted since December 17, 2024.

The Burlington School had a senior duo take command as Cam Flippen almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine steals and Kaden Hammond dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. The match was Flippen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Hooker, who posted 14 points.

The Burlington School's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Carolina Friends, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
