Basketball Recap: Genesee Comes Up Short

Genesee played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 73-33 loss at the hands of the Wallace Miners. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-17.

Despite the defeat, Genesee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Bollman went 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Bollman a new career-high in assists.

Leading Wallace to victory were Julian Davis and Cooper Miller. Davis shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Miller went 9 of 20 on his way to 22 points and eight assists. The contest was Miller's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Williams, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Genesee now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Wallace, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Genesee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-39 win against Timberline on the 13th. As for Wallace, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-58 loss against Timberlake on the 10th.
