After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westlake, Austin was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Akins Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Maroons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Austin's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7-2. As for Akins, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the pitch. Akins will host Bowie at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, while Austin will head out to face them at 7:45 p.m. on February 12th.
