Basketball Game Preview: Warren Bears vs. Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies

The Warren Bears will take on the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Warren saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 81-62 win over Fullerton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Warren's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenneth Martinez, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Martinez has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 67% every time he's hit the court this season. King Johnson was another key player, shooting 58% from the field en route to 24 points and five boards.

While Godinez Fundamental didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Newport Harbor by a score of 71-62 on Tuesday.

Warren's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Godinez Fundamental, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
