Volleyball Recap: Hughesville Takes a Loss

Hughesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lewisburg Green Dragons. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Hughesville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lewisburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Hughesville will venture away from home to square off against Midd-West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewisburg has already played their next contest (against Central Columbia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
