Baseball Game Preview: Foreman Hornets vs. Senn Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Foreman will face off against Senn. The Hornets will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Foreman has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while Senn will come in with four straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Foreman's offense. They came up short against Senn on Tuesday, falling 13-0.

For Senn's part, Jack Shanley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Shanley a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Camilo Nicado Yelmene was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Evan Goldman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Senn pushed their record up to 4-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Foreman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
