Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gatesville). They never let the La Vega Pirates get on the board and left with a 27-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Hornets have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gatesville's victory bumped their record up to 19-11-1. As for La Vega, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Gatesville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
