Basketball Recap: Flint River Academy Wildcats vs. St. George's
Flint River Academy lost against St. George back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Flint River Academy Wildcats fell 50-42 to St. George's.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was D. J. Baums, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Baums is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Riner, who posted six points and 14 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Flint River Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 25 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
St. George's found their leader in sophomore Davis Helms, who scored 18 points. Stroud Searcy was another key player, putting up nine points.
