Baseball Recap: Webster City Comes Up Short

If Webster City was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Hampton-Dumont/CAL on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lynx fell 6-2 to the North Polk Comets on Tuesday. The Lynx were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in July of 2023.

Webster City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15-1. As for North Polk, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Webster City has already played their next contest, a 14-11 win against Forest City on the 2nd. As for North Polk, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-1 victory against A-D-M on the 2nd.
