Basketball Recap: Ransom Everglades Raiders vs. Palmer Trinity Falcons
Ransom Everglades lost against Palmer Trinity two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ransom Everglades Raiders were dealt a 70-34 loss at the hands of the Palmer Trinity Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 564th, while the Falcons are ranked 247th).

Ransom Everglades' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Gumbs, who went 7 for 16 en route to 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Gumbs a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alijah Mourning, who posted six points and ten rebounds.
Graham Yanowitch was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards for Palmer Trinity. Ransom Everglades dropped their record down to 10-15 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Palmer Trinity, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6.
