Soccer Game Preview: Bel Air vs. Americas

The Bel Air Highlanders are taking a road trip to face off against the Americas Trail Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bel Air is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering El Dorado just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Aztecs who were credited with the win. El Dorado got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Bel Air's four. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Highlanders came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Aztecs are ranked 130th).

Americas managed to keep up with El Dorado until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Americas lost 3-0 to El Dorado.

Bel Air's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-1-2. As for Americas, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1.
