Flag Football Game Preview: Hamilton Huskies vs. Pinnacle Pioneers + Official Tickets

The Hamilton Huskies will face off against the Pinnacle Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hamilton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Pinnacle likes a good challenge.

Hamilton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Basha, who was ranked 21st at the time (Hamilton was ranked first). The Huskies simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Bears 34-7. Fans of the Huskies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Hamilton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marlie Phillips out in front who threw for 271 yards and five TDs. Phillips is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Hamilton's leading receiver Samaya Taylor-Jenkins was Phillips' top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and three scores.

Meanwhile, Pinnacle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 12-6 to Valley Vista.

Pinnacle didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Maiya Kirkland and Lyla Campbell. Campbell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Pinnacle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's game: Hamilton has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 293.3 passing yards per game.
