Grandview came into Tuesday's contest having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Toppenish Wildcats on Tuesday, sneaking past 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Tuesday, they had to take a 13-0 defeat.

Grandview's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Rowland, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Andre Lopez was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Grandview picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-17. As for Toppenish, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grandview will take on rival Quincy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Toppenish is set to square off against their familiar foe Othello at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
