Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cloquet). They put the hurt on the North Branch Vikings with a sharp 19-4 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cloquet and bumps their season record up to 17-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for North Branch, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Cloquet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Branch has already played their next match (against Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia]), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
