The White Cloud Indians will take on the Hesperia Panthers in a tournament on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, White Cloud put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Tri County Area 11-10. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won three games in a row.

Trysten Tancock was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tancock was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brady Strait was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Riley Borgman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
White Cloud always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hesperia challenged Mason County Eastern on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-4 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Like White Cloud, Hesperia also got a great game from a two-way player: Daylen Castillo. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Castillo also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hesperia is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-13 otherwise. Castillo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Weston Hasted, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Abe Escobedo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Hesperia's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for White Cloud, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
