Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Valley Comes Up Short

Kankakee Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Hamilton Southeastern on Saturday. The Kougars fell 2-0 to the Royals. The Kougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10.

Hamilton Southeastern had a senior duo take command as Maye Mcconnell had six digs and six aces and Jasmine Daniels had four digs and two aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Mcconnell. Dara Bush also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Kankakee Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Kankakee Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Morgan Township on the 27th. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Mishawaka Marian on the 27th.
