Baseball Recap: Unionville Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Unionville had lost four games at home, but after bumping their record up to 7-9 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Phoenixville Phantoms by a score of 11-8. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered an 11-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Drew Puleo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Unionville's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Puleo was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Unionville got a massive performance out of Jake Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Chris Gebhart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
