Soccer Recap: Mayfield Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Mayfield took on Murray on Thursday. The Cardinals lost 11-0 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Mayfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Murray are ranked 33rd).

Mayfield's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Murray, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayfield will challenge Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Murray, they will square off against Graves County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
