Strafford put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Mountain Grove Panthers 70-49. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Panthers are ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strafford pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Mountain Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strafford will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Norwood at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Mountain Grove, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mountain Grove Panthers challenge the Mansfield Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
