Escondido Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Del Lago Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Del Lago Academy skirted past Escondido Adventist Academy 2-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Firebirds since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
