Softball Game Preview: Wilson Tigers vs. Dillon Wildcats

The Wilson Tigers will face off against the Dillon Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Dillon will come in with three straight victories.

Wilson lost 15-5 to Darlington on Wednesday.

Zoey Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Makayla Gadson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Dillon had just enough and edged out Marlboro County 6-5 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Dillon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
