For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when El Dorado and Hanks meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Aztecs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights.

El Dorado's win came from a few key players Del Valle will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Davanee Montelongo, who had 28 digs, nine kills, and two aces. Those 28 digs gave her a new career-high. Hannah Garcia was another key player, getting 48 assists and 15 digs.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Del Valle has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 4.9 aces per game. However, it's not like El Dorado struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Del Valle couldn't quite get it done against El Dorado in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Conquistadores avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
