Addison McMillan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

Ashley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Swansboro has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Ashley, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Swansboro's sizable advantage in that area, Ashley will need to find a way to close that gap.
