Recap: J.Z. George Jaguars vs. West Tallahatchie Choctaws
The J.Z. George Jaguars lost against the West Tallahatchie Choctaws back in November of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. J.Z. George took a serious blow against West Tallahatchie, falling 69-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for J.Z. George in their matchups with West Tallahatchie: they've now lost eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Tallahatchie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Sample, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cavorgie Robinson, who scored 10 points.
J.Z. George's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for West Tallahatchie, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. J.Z. George is on the road again on Friday and play against Ethel at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for West Tallahatchie, they will face off against Water Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
