Soccer Recap: Conner Comes Up Short

The Conner Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the Dixie Heights Colonels on Thursday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Conner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Dixie Heights are ranked fifth).

Conner now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Dixie Heights, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Conner will head out on the road to take on Elder at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elder's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Conner's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Dixie Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Henry at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
