Tuscola not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024. Everything went their way against the Franklin Panthers as the Tuscola Mountaineers made off with a 12-2 win. The Mountaineers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Amos Rich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Rich was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kolt Nelson was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Mason Harrell was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Tuscola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Tuscola and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Tuscola will have a chance to go back-to-back against Franklin: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
