Corning put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past the Central Valley Falcons to the tune of 62-24. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-8.
Corning's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ivan Jones, who picked up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Those 88 receiving yards gave Jones a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Kaleb Flournoy, who rushed for 115 yards and one score on only seven carries.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Flournoy, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
