Volleyball Recap: Kewanee Finds Home Court Redemption Against Bureau Valley + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Kewanee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Bureau Valley Storm on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Boilermakers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Kewanee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Claire Taylor was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had ten digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high. Kendyl Deblieck was another key player, getting 11 assists and five digs.

The victory got Kewanee back to even at 10-10-1. As for Bureau Valley, they moved to 13-12 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Coming up, Kewanee will challenge Alleman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bureau Valley, they will face off against Stark County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
