Basketball Recap: Oxford Prep Takes a Loss

Oxford Prep lost against Vance Charter back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oxford Prep Griffins lost to the Vance Charter Knights on the road by a 46-29 margin. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vance Charter found their leader in freshman Adanna Aniekwensi, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aniekwensi has scored all season. Katherine Suther was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five assists and three steals.

Oxford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Vance Charter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Oxford Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-30 defeat against Discovery Charter School on the 5th. As for Vance Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-26 victory against Henderson Collegiate on the 4th.
