Carrollwood Day extended their postseason success on Monday against Tampa Prep. They won by a run and slipped past the Terrapins 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Terrapins: they've now won five in a row.

Steven Vargo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Kam Battle also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Carrollwood Day's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Tampa Prep, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 16-11 record.

Carrollwood Day will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Terrapins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
