Softball Game Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. West Wilkes Blackhawks

Forbush hasn't had much luck against West Wilkes recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field against the Blackhawks at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Forbush sitting on three straight wins and West Wilkes on five.

Forbush's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over West Forsyth.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, West Wilkes made sure to put some runs up on the board against East Surry on Tuesday. The Blackhawks put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Blackhawks have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Wilkes' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Forbush, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
