Volleyball Recap: Iola Comes Up Short

The Iola Mustangs came up short against the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks on Monday and fell 2-0.

Iola was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Iola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addi Wacker had six assists and five digs.

Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 9-24. As for Jayhawk Linn, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-11.

Iola has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Baxter Springs on the 20th. As for Jayhawk Linn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Osawatomie on the 20th.
