Gateway made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Liberty, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Gateway Panthers blew past the Liberty Chargers 24-8 on Tuesday. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Gateway's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Gateway will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on March 28th. As for Liberty, they have already played their next match, an 18-15 win against Haines City on the 12th.
