Volleyball Recap: Hudson Triumphs

Hudson won the last time they faced Brecksville-Broadview Heights and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Explorers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bees. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Explorers.

Hudson walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 15-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Maddy Dearstine paced Hudson's offense, picking up 12 kills. Dearstine got some help from Evelyn Kenney and her 16 assists. Dearstine was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Despite the defeat, Brecksville-Broadview Heights saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brooke Mihalek had eight digs and two aces.

Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hudson is set to take on their familiar foe Nordonia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights will square off against rival Solon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
