Baseball Recap: Byram Hills Bobcats vs. Nyack Red Hawks
Byram Hills took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They blew past the Nyack Red Hawks 12-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Byram Hills also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2022.
For Nyack's part, Billy Fontanilla made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Lukes Vukdedaj was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Nyack's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byram Hills will take on Hendrick Hudson at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Nyack, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Albertus Magnus at 4:30 p.m.
