Baseball Recap: Kents Hill School Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gould Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kents Hill School). Everything went their way against Gould Academy on Wednesday as they made off with an 18-8 win. The victory was nothing new for Kents Hill School as they're now sitting on three straight.

Grayson Frothingham was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ty Rykhus, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Kents Hill School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Kents Hill School's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Gould Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kents Hill School will square off against Hebron Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies are facing the Lumberjacks at the right time seeing as the Lumberjacks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gould Academy, they will be playing at home against Berwick Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
