Baseball Recap: Henderson Comes Up Short

Henderson and Mabank squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Henderson had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Henderson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-12. As for Mabank, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

While Henderson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
