Softball Recap: Bethlehem Takes a Loss

If Bethlehem was feeling good fresh off their 20-6 takedown of Malone on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 11-4 to the Geneva County Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Ruby Bailey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Purvee, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base.

Bethlehem now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Geneva County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

While Bethlehem had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
