Baseball Recap: ALA - Ironwood Comes Up Short

If ALA - Ironwood was riding high fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Bourgade Catholic last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. ALA - Ironwood lost 9-1 to the Benjamin Franklin Chargers on Monday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

ALA - Ironwood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gio Martinez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

ALA - Ironwood's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Benjamin Franklin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5-1.

Benjamin Franklin is facing Bourgade Catholic at the right time seeing as Bourgade Catholic is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
