Baseball Game Preview: Newfield Wolverines vs. North Babylon Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Newfield will face off against North Babylon. The Wolverines will head out to take on the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Newfield has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Newfield needed a bit of extra time to put away North Babylon. They skirted past the Bulldogs 9-8.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Alberto, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Ryan Scargalato, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Newfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Newfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for North Babylon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
