The Carrington Cardinals got the win against the Dakota Prairie Knights on Monday by a conclusive 13-3. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

Calleigh Hewitt made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Hewitt was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Maara Kutz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kaydence VanRay, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Carrington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Carrington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-5 defeat against Thompson on the 6th. Dakota Prairie has also already played their next contest (against Langdon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
