Softball Recap: Yorba Linda Takes a Loss

Yorba Linda came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Brea Olinda Wildcats by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Yorba Linda saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Wojtuszewski, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Yorba Linda dropped their record down to 9-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brea Olinda, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Yorba Linda will be playing in front of their home fans against Troy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brea Olinda, they will take on Crean Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
