Baseball Recap: Junction City Comes Up Short

Junction City lost against Woodlawn back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Junction City came up short against Woodlawn, falling 10-2. The Dragons just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Junction City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Hightower, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Justin Johnson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Junction City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Woodlawn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Junction City will welcome Taylor at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodlawn, they will host Camden Fairview at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Woodlawn is facing Camden Fairview at the right time seeing as Camden Fairview is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
