Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Takes a Loss

Berea-Midpark was the 77-75 winner over Lorain when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Berea-Midpark fell to Lorain 63-59. Berea-Midpark has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Berea-Midpark saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nick Reece went 8-for-19 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. The game was Reece's 18th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Tyson Clay, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 18 points.

Berea-Midpark's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Lorain, they pushed their record up to 10-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Berea-Midpark will square off against Elyria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Berea-Midpark's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lorain, they will challenge John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lorain is facing John Marshall at the right time seeing as John Marshall is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
